He never thought it was possible…
Growing up in a struggling family where his parents used to earn $10/month working tirelessly round the clock away from home to make ends meet.
Stanley’s journey started in Bandung, Indonesia. Driven by status quo, culture and environment the only way he know how to be successful in life was to go to a good school get good grades, graduate and get a good job.
Now Stanley has helped thousands of photographers to pursue their passion in photography and to share/inspire others through his journey and adventures.
He moved to Australia to study engineering & got a big job working with metals for a huge company. Life seemed set. Comfortable paycheck, fancy things – he had it all. But deep down, he lost his passion in life.
That made him think hard about his life. “If today were the last day of my life, would I do what I’m about to do today?” he wondered. The answer pushed him to make a change.
He realized he had been playing it safe, always choosing what was easy rather than what he loved.
He’s been substituting fear for passion, that’s when he realised that he was living someone else’s dream.
Leaving his engineering job behind, Stanley felt free for the first time in years.
In Canada, Stanley found a new love: photography. He started taking pictures of frozen lakes and the changing ice patterns. Even though he knew the technical side of photography because of his engineering background, he learned that the best photos came from the heart.
Soon, his photos got recognized, and he won over 100 awards, get published and exhibited all around the world.
But for Stanley, it wasn’t about the fame. It was about capturing memories, telling stories, and inspiring others.
He shares a cool memory, “I remember sleeping just three hours a night for two whole weeks. Every day, I’d go on a new adventure – like chasing stars and watching cool light shows in the sky.”
For Stanley, Canada wasn’t just a place to visit; it was where he truly found himself.
So, what’s the big message here?
It’s never too late to follow your heart. Stanley’s story isn’t just about the places he saw or the photos he took.
It’s about a guy who wasn’t afraid to chase his dreams, no matter how far they took him.
Today, Stanley Aryanto’s story is a testament to the infinite possibilities that await when one dares to step outside their comfort zone. His journey is not just about a change in profession, but a profound shift in perspective, from valuing materialistic pursuits to cherishing the intangible wonders of life.
