Hello!
I am Stanley. I live in Perth, Western Australia. In April 2018 I left my career as a Mechanical Engineer to pursue my passion for travel and photography. I love sports and outdoor activities such as riding motorbikes, hiking, snowboarding, 4WDing and camping.
I seek dramatic lighting in most of my photography. Even in black and white, I look for high contrast and selective lighting. But for the most part, I believe colours bring happiness, so I try to find vibrant colours in my photography. I usually love to hunt for perfect moments at sunrise, sunset and night, during the milky way season.
There are a few reasons why I love photography. The first thing that I love about photography is the ability to look and find the best in the worst situation. In many cases good photography doesn’t necessarily require a good setting instead it requires a good eye and perspective. Photography has taught me how to be patient and to look beyond the obvious, a philosophy which I bring to day-to-day life.
Cultures and natures are one of the many reasons why I want to do travel photography is to see, share and
motivate others to see the world. I consider the wicked hunt the window to the world’s unseen. There’s a special feeling of being able to take in new experiences, new culture and new landscape. I learnt that the more I see, the more curious I become and the more I want to know what other unforgettable experiences I’ve been missing out on.
